Support the Rivershore Foundation

Dear Friend of the Rivershore Foundation,

You already appreciate our mission of supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities throughout Niagara County.  This year, carrying out that mission was literally life-saving. Thanks to donors like you, this year we continued supporting:

  • 676 people with disabilities
  • 100 older adults
  • 174 health services patients

…through our 24 locations in Niagara County… all through a pandemic that poses significant risk to those most vulnerable.

And then, well beyond providing PPE and making whole-scale MichelleAndSylvia   adjustments to how our services are provided, our frontline heroes helped people to actually thrive and give back during this challenging time. One example is our “dynamic duo” of Michelle and Sylvia.  Michelle is a staff member who normally works in a day program, but happily redeployed to a group home in Grand Island when the day program closed. Sylvia is a resident at the home. What do you get when you put two super friendly, chatty people like Michelle and Sylvia, together? You get the desire to reach out and help others. This duo put the time at home to good use, with an initiative to bridge the divide and use FaceTime and regular phone calls to people with disabilities. At a time when many were struggling with isolation, confusion with breaks in routine or not understanding why they haven’t been able to see family and friends, their outreach was a blessing.

Your generosity directly impacts individuals with disabilities to live more meaningful lives. To be safe and healthy, and to thrive. Every gift makes a difference, and a gift at any level is so very appreciated. Donations can be made by mail below or online at

Wishing you a safe holiday season and a prosperous new year,

Jerald Wolfgang, Board President
